Being dependant on oxygen doesn't mean your life is over. I've found it opens doors where I never knew they existed. This blog is to help those who live with oxygen needs. It is also for the spouses, children, and others who help the individuals who are on oxygen to lead a quality life.

When you are traveling, it's very important to plan ahead for your oxygen refills. I've had to get my liquid oxygen tanks refilled several times during a vacation. The company that I used at the time is named Lincare. They are a Nationwide company. They have a great website and are very good to work with. Very helpful. Check with your insurance company to see if they will accept Lincare as an oxygen provider first and if the insurance company will cover out-of-region oxygen service.
Lincare's website is located at: http://www.lincare.com/customers-visitors/traveltips.html This is their travel tip section of their site. Most durable medical equipment companies are regional (ie: they only service the area you live in.) So, at least with Lincare, you have an option to choose from when you travel.
